Director / Cinematographer
Tony Marquez III is an American Director, Actor and Cinematographer born and raised in El Paso TX. His crave for telling stories through a lens originated at the age of 11 where he would experiment with lights and composition. He worked as an actor performing on stage and on film for productions such as the critically acclaimed shows, The Normal Heart (2016), Arsenic and Old Lace and films such as Save Me (2016) and Dead of The Night (2012). After graduating high school from Jesus Chapel School back in 2009, Tony pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Filmmaking at The Creative Media Institute in New Mexico State University. Aside from working as a Cinematographer, Tony found his true passion as a director having a special spark working with actors. He directed a couple of award winning short films including Nelson(2014) placing 3rd at The Evolution Film Festival and his soon to be released inspirational World War II film Soldier(2016). In 2017, he started In Cadence Films with filmmaker Alfonso Loya whom he met during his time at CMI.
